General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the long term use of Methotrexate is associated with:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Rashes
- Pin point red spots
- Unusual bruises
- Fatigue
- Others

So the skin darkening is a likely sequence of methotrexate which is a folate antagonist and depriving body from essential sources of vitamins of skin health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
