What Causes Skin Pain On The Lower Back Along With Abdominal Bloating?
I am 78 years old, started having some burning pain in the skin area of left lower back, also some abdominal bloating. I have had two small b. movements today. The burning sensation seem to more so at night, causing me not to able to seelp and tossing and turning to fine relief. Taking 1 Aleve has helped.
The lower back pain is due to abdominal bloating. This bloating will cause the bowels to enlarge till they will press on the nearby nerves, which are also associated with the back site.
Most probably you have constipation. Start to ease the symptoms through taking:
- lots of fluids
- more fiber foods
- fiber supplements containing Prunes or psyllium can also help
- probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- antacids and anti-bloating meds (containing simethicone).
If still no improvement, proceed further with a gastroenterologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
