What Causes Skin Peeling From The Gums After Tooth Extraction?
Lower molar extracted 3-4wks ago. Past week it has felt like I'm swallowing tiny bits of something soft. Finally spit a piece out and its red and slimy. Looks like a piece of healthy gum. Should gum be rapidly sloughing off after tooth extraction? Ps - nothing hurts
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain peeling of gums that it comes out in pieces is not seen after tooth extraction and as now it i already 3 to 4 weeks so now the healing might have occurred sufficiently..
However there is a possibility that some pieces of tissue from the healing socket might have dislodged..
In case if you do not have any pain and if your extraction socket appears to be filled with tissue that is meant to heal the extraction socket then you need not to worry about it..
But in case if there is repeated symptoms then consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
