Hello Sir, From many years I am suffering from half-sleep, half awake problem. I was very very afraid during its existence for a moment. But when I searched the same over internet I found it is a problem of sleep disorder or sleep paralysis or hypnogogia. I gets very afraid when it exist and during this, a creepy sound in a big volume is running, dogs barking sounds and many more things like some one is attacking me etc. And for that particular moment it seems real. My eyes are open and I unable to move my rest of the body portion. Please sir advice, what should I do to overcome it. It really irritates me. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Nothing to worry about,it's a normal phenomenon which occurs during REM(rapid eye movement) sleep.
Make sure to sleep in a right or left lateral position which ll help you to get relief from your problem.
If it still persists, visit a pulmonologist for a proper evaluation.
