What Causes Sleeping Difficulty And Backache After An Embryo Transfer?
Hello, I had my embryo transfer a week back. I had mild cramping and breast soreness till fifth day of transfer and I don't have any symptoms now except for lack of sleep and back pain. I am getting up at 3 or 4 in the morning and not able to sleep later. please advise what does that indicate
Mild cramping of abdomen can be seen after embryo transfer due to minimal manipulation during procedure.Breast tenderness can be seen in premenstrual phase, but as it is subsided, no need to worry much about it.
Lack of sleep can be seen in different conditions, in your case that may be because of anxiety regarding the success of IVF. In early pregnancy also due to hormonal effect lack of sleep can be experienced. But this itself is not diagnostic of pregnancy.Backache can occur due to many causes like improper position, calcium deficiency etc.
In pregnancy relaxin hormone by relaxing the ligaments and joints can lead to backache but again this itself is not diagnostic of pregnancy. So, be hopeful and wait for serum beta HCG report and possibly you may get positive result.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
