My father had been in the hospital for 3 weeks, which I was at everyday for 8 to 9 hrs with my mother and brother. My father pasted away last week....My question is...Why am I so tired? I have no problem sleeping, I work for 8 hrs and when i get home I could go to bed for the night...can t get enough sleep. Thank you Kim
Feeling tired may be part of grief (emotional and behavioral reaction to loss of a near and dear one). A few things that would help in this period is to accept the loss, to remember and cherish all that you could do for your father in his last days, to remember your support to and from your family, to spend time with family, to talk about loss with a person you are comfortable, to slowly return to normal routine work, to avoid stressful things, not to fight sleep. You say that you have no problem sleeping. Then you should make sure that you get about eight hours of sleep. You are likely to recover from grief in due time. Be patient and don't worry. I hope this answers your question.
