Hi,

A common cause of sleeplessness in a healthy 3-year-old is mostly due to frequent nap in the noon or in the evening.

They also have the fear that they will be left alone at night, in that scenario either of the parents should be with the child, till they go into deep sleep.

I would suggest you make the child play well in the evening and lessen the duration of sleep in the noon and avoid caffeinated drinks and the Mobile/ tab before sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirubhan Bharathy, Pediatrician
