Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

We have an entity called relative macroglossia where the oral cavity is small and tongue is normal and associated with some syndromes. Next possibility is local problems like hemangioma or lingular thyroid. Get his TFT done. The child may be more comfortable sleeping in Prone position.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Basim Ali, Pediatrician
