What Causes Slight Itching In Vagina After Taking Fertyl?
I am taking fertyl 50mg (2 tablets) at night since yesterday. I am experiencing slight itching in my vagina. I have had UTI twice before but that was long back and not very recently. This itching feels similar to the ones that I had when I had UTI. Is this common when on fertyl?
Fertyl contains clomiphene citrate and it is not expected to cause itching. Itching in vagina is commonly due to fungal infection(candida) etc. You may need clinical examination and further tests. You may need routine hemogram, random blood sugar, urine RE/ME,culture of discharge(if there is any),etc. You may need specific drugs for fungus(candida is most common) like clotrimazole. Clotrimazole tablet(100 mg) of vaginal use can be taken. One tablet is to be inserted deep inside the vagina at night for six consecutive nights. You may also need perineal wash. Urinary tract infection should also be confirmed. However, skin reasons for local itching should also be evaluated.
