What Causes Slight Swelling And Pain In Foot Post Injury?

About 2 weeks ago, I was helping my husband who has advanced pancreatic cancer & lymphoma and has trouble walking, he fell against me & I supported his weight on my right foot. That foot has continued to swell only slightly but the ball of the foot is painful and it feels like there s a roll of cotton on the bottom of the foot. Seems like it s dragging on and improves slightly then worsens. Is this really worth seeing an orthopaedist for?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, injury need to be brought for investigation and best is plain x-ray to ruled out the fracture if the x-ray is normal one then this is nothing to worry but in case of fracture you will have to see the orthopedic surgeon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
