What Causes Slight Swelling And Redness On Foot After A Long Walk?
Yes - thank you. I ve been dealing w/ a callus on the bottom of my foot for a few weeks but I ve been soaking in epson salt water & then using the pumus block. It s much better but what I lm dealing w/ a different problem now. Last Th. I went hiking and although my foot had no pain during the walk, about two days later I had slight sweeling on top of my foot and also redness. I believe, in trying to protect the callus part of the foot, I may have strained the top area of the foot. I can move my foot & toes and it s kinda stiff but not sore to touch. I m trying to elevate my foot as much as possible and also using ice for sweeling. What do you think?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms seem to be related to overuse of the foot. I suggest to use an anti inflammatory meidcations such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to rest, use cold compresses for local applciation and elevate the foot.
Hope my answer was helpful.
