What Causes Slight Twitching In Eyelids?

Been having slight twitching or spasm in my eyelids on and off. Annoying to say the least. Under your symptom diagnosis it only has the option for drooping eyelid , which I don t have, just the slight twitch. I ve had it before and it usually goes away after a few days. This time, it s been going on for a week or more. What to do...is this seious?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common and does not indicates any active disease process. In most cases, it will settle by itself without any complications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
