What Causes Slurred Speech And Feeling Disoriented After Liver Biopsy?
i have a 56 year old male who had liver biopsy done, vitals stable then began to fall 15 min later, patient became restless and skin was cool and clammy words become slurred and appears confused, says uncomfortable, touches abdomen. minutes later pulse dropped more and became weak and thready. slightly labored, stressing was stained iwht bright red blood, abdomen felt firmer than did before biopsy what could be wrong?
Hello dear Greetings Concerning the man's presentation of restless cold clammy skin slurred speech confusion reduced pulse rate tender abdomen after a liver biopsy I will strongly suggest he has developed a hemorrhagic shock possible from bleeding episode from the biopsy
This is definitely an emergency condition that requires immediate care at the Emergency room attended by an emergency physician so I will advise you do so immediately to prevent any mortality
Just a few suggestions he will definitely benefit from a surgical interventional procedure
I hope this helps Regards
