What Causes Slurred Speech And Severe Fatigue?

Friend 70 yo had slurred speech, and slow movements, grey skin tone friend took to an ER- MRI, CAT scan ruled out a stroke , was told too late for TPA, yet no stroke was diagnosed anyway; was discharged and is seeing a neurologist soon for a work up. Shuffling gait, can t bend well to put on shoes, voice has become monotone, no energy. Patient is a Catholic priest who loves his ministry and hislow energy for that is really telling us something is seriously wrong.

It may be transient ischemic attack or normal pressure hydrocephalus or CNS infections or cerebellar infract or cervical spondylosis with compression. He may need physical therapy, emotional support and occupational therapy. Need to be evaluated for high cholesterol or carotid atherosclerosis or compressive myelopathy or anemia or B12 deficiency etc.
