What Causes Small Black And Blue Marks On Thigh And Around The Groin?
I have been anemic most of my life but my hemoglobin is at a good level I have had several blood transfusions and was told I don t have platelets now I noticed I have small black and blue marks all over my thigh and a couple near my groin I am not on aspirin but I do take Tylenol can you tell me what might be causing this?
Small black & blue marks are commonly due to jock itch. Get it treated by applying anti fungal based ointment. However, you can take a course of Fluconazole orally, it is effective.
Take care of your hygiene, keep the groin area clean & dry. If you are sexually active with multiple partners, you should take STD tests to rule out STI. If tests are positive you will need antivirals & antibiotics.
Genital warts, contact dermatitis, etc have similar symptoms. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
