What Causes Small Blisters On The Cheeks And Tongue?
I have an infection in my mouth. It started 6 weeks ago with a swollen salivatory gland, then settled into lymph nod and manifested as blisters and sores inside cheek and tongue. Later small blisters at corners mouth. Has stayed mostly inside and left side of mouth.
* Usual mouth infections are related to anaerobic bacteria as peptostreptococcus, fusobacterium or others.
* Ideal management is to take a swab culture report after prescription of the doc and get it checked in microbiology lab, later on according to the culture sensitivity when you are treated with the antibiotics with or without anti viral medicine then they get best healing.
Home remedies would include
- local application of honey
- gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times/day
- plenty of liquids to maintain hydraton
- control of blood sugar.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
