What Causes Small Blisters On The Surgical Sutures?
I am 6 weeks post inguinal hernia surgery. At 3 weeks developed infection at outer corner of incision where dissolvable stitch did not dissolve and wasn t healing antibiotic was prescribed site is closed now but have developed small blisters. What would cause this? Will they resolve themselves?
Dear friend...I have gone through your question. .. The blisters seen around the wound can be signs of invasive cellulitis. You have to check whether there is warmth, redness, swelling and pain around the wound. Also check whether there is any discharge from wound site. You have to get a wound discharge culture and sensitivity done and start sensitive antibiotics. Proper care of wound with daily dressing should also be done. Reduced host resistance is usually the cause for would infections. Improve your immunity with proper diet. Rule out underlying diabetes, steroid intake and other immunosuppressive states. Thank you.
