Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my son is about 18 months and I ve weaning him from the breast. He rarely nurses except to help him fall asleep for the night. Saturday was my last day of my period and it was also the 1st time he s needed to nurse before bed in quite some time. Sunday morning he woke up with fine bumps from head to toe. He s not in any pain, no fever, and his eating habits haven t changed. They don t appear to itch him either. Would I be right in assuming its a hormone rash?
Most probably it will be condition like HFMD (hand foot mouth disease) other related conditions also be ruled out. In most cases it will settle by itself. If lesion persists better to consult pediatrician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
