Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have small cuts on my penis since one month. I am uncircumcised. So in the beginning I tried mustard oil and coconut oil and it got better but again the cuts started coming back. There was itching and the skin got red but that got away in some time. I did use neosporin and soframycin and the cuts healed a bit. But never went away. Now I have started using clotrimazole and they have started healing faster. Should in continue the same? There are like 7 8 small cuts. The skin has become soft now. Earlier it was hard and flaking used to occur. Please suggest what to do. Thanks
Many people may develop itching and scarring over the penis with dry skin. Some people may also develop this with scabies infection.
People who have scabies may have rash, red color skin, and itching at night. It is usually important to get to the cause by seeing a Skin specialist.
The skin specialist may suggest treatment where a anti-scabitic treatment or powder to help remove the scabies. Washing the clothes in hot boiling water can be useful as well.
I hope this helps. All the best.
