What Causes Small Cyst Like Bump Under The Rib Cage?
I have a small cyst like bump under the skin directly under my rib cage on my left side in the front. It doesn t hurt at all. It s been there for 2.5 years and it didn t appear until I had my gallbladder removed, ERCP, and pancreatitis (all within a week of each other). It was very small-about the size of the tip of an ink pen (unclicked)- and it looked to be pretty deep but not deep enough for me to not be able to touch it. Now, as it has gotten closer to the surface of the skin, it s about the size of a green pea. I can pinch it and it s hard. It doesn t act like it wants to pop or anything. And it looks like a bruise. I was talking to one of my NP friends and he said it could be a ruptured blood vessel. What could it be?
