What Causes Small Hazy Density In The Left Apical Lung Field?

Hi good day I had X-Ray last day and the result is I have minimal PTB, LEFT, NON-CAVITARY, CLINICAL AND BACTERIOLOGIC. It s stated on my X-ray report that there is a small hazy density in the left apical lung field. The rest of the lung fields are clear. I am just wondering why I got minimal PTB , I don t smoke, I dont drink alcoholic beverage, even sexual intercourse i never done that because I am still single? I don t even have a cough, fever or chills before I had my xray. Hope you can answer my quistion.. Thank you Irish

Hi,

You have not mentioned your symptoms and why the tests were ordered. Anyhow, as it confirmed both by X- ray and bacteriologically (means sputum was positive), diagnosis is sure and needs treatment. We can get TB even without any predisposing factors, as this is a common disease and is spread through droplets in air.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
