What Causes Small Lump Under Left Breast Post Injury?

Left breast injured after hit by foul ball at game a little over a week ago. Left a nasty bruise. I ve checked on it daily and it looks to be healing (just turning diff colors now). Today when looking at it I actually touched it and felt a very small lump underneath. I m ocd when it comes to my self exams so I know it wasn t there before the hit. Chance has it that I have a scheduled mamo in a week. Not too worried but wanted some ideas on what it can be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The lump seem to be related to inflammation due to the injury. I suggest to use an anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest to use cold compresses for local application. The lump will relieve gradually.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
