hello doctor, day before yesterday i found small nodules on my finger tips look like a vasculitis nodules. right now it is not paining but i fill numbness of finger. in childhood i had tuberculosis and two years back had herpes zoster. i am afraid of it. is it serious.
I can understand your concern for the small nodules on finger tips with numbness of finger. You have not mentioned in query regarding your age, sex and occupation so that a close possibility could be established. It is too early to comment on exact diagnosis of the problem.
It appears form your query that you have developed Pompholyx with inflammation at the affected region. It is type of mild cutaneous vasculitis due multiple causes.
For time being period you can apply mixed cream containing antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and mild steroid such as cortisone or fluticasone. You can take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection.
If it is increasing despite the treatment then meet a dermatologist or any family physician and get a proper treatment without delay.
Take care.
