What Causes Small Pus Filled Lump Inside Groin Causing Burning Sensation?

I had a small marble size lump inside my groin, it was very painful an had a terrible burning sensation, then it busted an white puss came out and had a terrible odor. Soreness is leaving but what caused this an should I be concerned about it, what is it called? Thank you

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a pus filled lump in the groin that releases pus and has terrible odour seems to be pus and the cause of it can be due to causes like hair follicle infection or Folliculitis while can also be due to infection in the glands present in the area leading to pus formation under the skin leading to formation of abscess..
I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be sufficient for diagnosis..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can also be advised to clean the area with antiseptic solution, put gentle pressure in the area and drain off pus..
Apply a Triple Antibiotic Ointment over it to reduce infection..
At times Incision and Drainage can also be done to relieve infection faster..
