What Causes Small Raised Areas On Ankle, Feet And Below The Arms?
I am 51 years old, I smoke am overweight and I have developed small raised flesh colored areas on my ankle and the top of my feet as well as the underside of my arms, I am a nurse and these are not fluid filled areas or hair follicle involvement. I also have noticed that two of the areas have changed color to a greyish . When I rub them the surface of the areas are scaly. They do not itch or otherwise bother me but are not attractive. the areas on my feet are clusters on the ankle portion on both sides just above the heel. Do you have any idea what they may be.
As per your query, you have symptoms of small raised areas on ankle, feet and below the arms which is mainly due to viral infection, an allergic reaction or heat rashes.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to this area and apply petroleum jelly. You should protect them from sun exposure and take antihistamine like benadryl. If the condition does not get well then consult a dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment and antibiotics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
