Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is a red head with sensitive skin. She plays softball and exercises a lot. When she wears her softball sliding shorts and her softball pants (man-made materials), she gets red spots all over her legs. It isn't going away. They don't look like pimples. They are more flat and red. What can help?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of small red spots all over the leg which could be due to viral infection, petechiae, blockage of sebaceous glands as legs has large number of sebaceous glands. It could be due to allergic reaction leading to dermatitis and hair follicle infection by bacteria. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking area with any sharp object. You should rinse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day. Apply topical antibiotic cream such as neosporin 2% on it. You should take a course of antibiotic Tablet. Take a course of Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice a day for 5 days. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
