What Causes Small Sores On The Head, dry Skin Behind Ear And A Hard Lump Behind Each Ear?

My daughter has been getting a few but mostly one at a time little sores on her head. They are small and just stay pussy they never scab over and then after a week or so they just disappear. Now she has 6+ and one in the crease behind her ear. She also has a hard lump behind each ear. What would be causing this?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Lumps behind ears can be due to enlarged lymph nodes. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) from these lumps. FNAC will determine the nature and character of the lumps.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
