Hello I have these lil spots on back of head ,its just on the bottom ,where the hairline is , its a row of likr spots that turn into scabs time to time , I had these since 2012 , the doctors given me various creams and that , they said its some sort of bacteria infection ?but the last time I went doctors ,they simply said the spots can t get better , its very painful in the heat and when I get a haircut, any solutions ?
hello.. thanks for writing to us.. i understand your concern. spots on tha head near the hairline are most likely due to Folliculitis. Folliculitis is infection of hair follicles in the hairline area that is very itchy with red spots which later show scabbing. spots mostly occur near hairline region and increase due to friction between skin and clothing. it is mostly due to bacterial infection. If i were your treating doctor, i would suggest a combination of antibacterial with a small dose steroid like Fusibet ointment that has to be applied daily. this spots tend to reccur and are very sensitive to sunlight. i would also suggest you to apply a sunscreen cream before exposing to sunlight which relieves itching and burning. hope my answer helped. thank you.
