What Causes Sneezing After Coughing The Pill Back Of The Nose?

I was taking a pill this morning, and i usually tilt my head back all the way and drop it down my throat. Usually there are no problems with this, but this morning I coughed as the pill was in my throat. It went into the back of my nose. Are there any problems that could possibly result from this? As I have been sneezing constantly for a couple hours now.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are related to a local irritation of the throat tissues. It is just a temporary situation and I am sure that you are going to improve spontaneously. If this situation persists, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
