What Causes Sneezing And Chronic Cough?

Last week had 100.6 fever, stayed home from work for three days, body was ache. Have been taking musinex aspirin,Vicks on my chest. Was feeling a little better,went to work today,now sneezing and throat tickle with terrible unstoppable cough. Any idea what I have?

Hi..

Thanks for contacting HCM for health query..

You had fever , possible symptoms of cough for which you took supportive medicine,you became better but now has bad cough.

It could be wheezy bronchitis which can occur after a URI..

If I have a similar patient in my outpatient department I would start on antibiotics,bronchodialators and anti allergics .

You need to meet a doctor in person and get treated so.

Till forth you can go for steam inhalation with hot water and plain common salt(do not add Vicks,)

You have said you have taken aspirin..

Unless proven to be bacterial infection never take aspirin .
