What Causes Sneezing And Runny Nose After Getting A Tooth Filling?

I had four tooth fillings (front upper teeth) yesterday and ever since my nose is really sore and has been running. I don't feel like I have a cold but have been sneezing and blowing my nose constantly. Is it a cold or could my sinuses be reacting to the injection?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain sneezing and running nose after anaesthesia injection for filling the front teeth can be due to allergic reaction to the components of anaesthesia solution or at times the solution can diffuse to the nasal lining and cause irritation and draining..
Nothing to worry as the effect of anaesthesia will wean off you will be alright..

As of now you can use steroid nasal sprays, do steam inhalations and take an anti-allergic medicine like Cetrizine for relief of the symptoms..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
