Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am suffering from sneezing and running nose from past one week. Please help I had taken blood test two days back and my fasting sugar is 147 My cholesterol is 255 Triglycerides TGL is 195 I workout everyday for 1.5 hour, Dono Howcome my report is so abnormal.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Sneezing and runny nose symptoms of yours could be due to allergic in origin. Kindly take antihistamine medication containing Levocetirizine and Montelukast as ingredients for 15 days to overcome the same. Regarding your blood report, the following things can be concluded. 1. Fasting glucose of 146mg/dl is higher than normal range. 2. Choloesterol level with 255mg/dl is higher than normal range. 3. Triglycerides with 195mg/dl is towards the higher side of normal range. Since there is disturbance in serum lipids with higher fasting glucose despite regular exercise, I would suggest you to get your Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels tested and consult Diabetologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided helps. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
