I m 6 months pregnant and have noticed when I go to to towel after passing stool there are soft lumps on my anus which appear after pushing, they re not painful and are at both the top and bottom, but straight away, if I tense they will go back inside. Is this a prolapse or haemorrhoids? Should I go to my GP?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What soft lumps you have noticed on anus could be hemorrhoids. This is because, as the abdominal pressure increases with growing uterus as well as exertion of mechanical pressure on the rectum and anal canal, there is a possibility that there is appearance of hemorrhoids. Also, constipation could aggravate these symptoms. As days progress, it can become still bigger and create more problems.
You need to consult Surgeon in this regard and take appropriate treatment for this as it can land up in bleeding and other such complications.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
