Im 70 years old and have a lot of arthrisis in my spine and different joints. My left knee is really giving me lots of problems now. My dr put a shot of cortizone in it about 3 weeks ago. it might have helped a little. He has me on Naprison now. My knees especially my left one has soft lumps on the sides of my knee cap. It looks really deformed but they don t hurt the pain is in the joint. What causes the soft lumps?
A knee lump can represent a joint deformity due to a chronic inflammatory condition such as arthritis. I see through the query that you have taken proper treatment. I suggest to follow the treatment as prescribed by your doctor. I also recommend physical therapy.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
