My stool is the consistency of tooth paste. At first I thought it was due to lactose intolerance then I thought it was due to my metformin. I m not taking metformin any longer and I have cut down on dairy products but the symptoms persist and are getting worse.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of soft smoothy stools which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body and could be due to food intolerance, food allergy , bacterial or viral gastroenteritis.
Need not to worry. You should take small quantity of food and avoid large intake at a single time. Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe medications like ornidazole, omeprazole along with loperamide and anaspas. Eat light and non spicy food and eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. Take oral rehydrating solution as well. You should avoid intake of outside food. Keep your bed with head on higher side.
