What Causes Soft Stools While Suffering From Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I have had soft stool for over a year now and feel paralyzed by fear. Previous to this I had issues with constipation for six months or so. I should also mention that I have had rheumatoid arthritis for twenty years and am forty four years old and female.

Hello,

Soft stools are unlikely to be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Alteration of constipation with soft stools or diarrhea need to be investigated. I suggest you to consult a gastro-surgeon for clinical assessment and investigations. Stool for occult blood is the first investigation which needs to be done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
