What Causes Sore And Itchy Throat?

I have a sore throat and its red in the back. Ive gargled with warm salt and water. It feels better. I also have a fine pimples in the roof of my mouth. I ve been taken Claritin. I noticed my throat getting itchy around the dog. What could this be?

I have worked through your query in detail.

The symptoms you are facing could be due to some infection in the throat, it is good that you have already started salt water gargling , please continue that , which would help in clearing infection

claritin is an antihistaminic which helps in reducing your itching if it is due to allergy. I would advise you to start a course of antibiotic ie Azithromycin for 3 days , which acts better in throat infections, if you have not find any result you can consult ENT specialist and get an examination done regarding your lesions.
