Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past few days my clitoris has been sore. It s now burning to urinate. My clitoris is a bit red and oh so sore. I have not had sex in about a week. .same partner for the past few months. Do not sit on toilets. . I use a sex toy. The pain subsides after a while. .but surfaces when I have to urinate.
Sore and red clitoris can occur due to excess friction and lack of lubrication during sex or while using sex toys. Vaginal or urinary tract infections should also be ruled out by vaginal smear, urine routine, urine culture and sensitivity. Ice pack covered with a thick cloth can placed to reduce the discomfort. Avoid any sexual activity for a few weeks. Maintenance of vaginal hygiene is also essential.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
