What Causes Sore And Swollen Eyes?

Yesterday It felt like i had something in my eye then hours later the inner side of my eye was painfull .My husband looked and he says it looks like a pimple under my lid not on the edge but furthar up . This morning my eye is very sore and a bit swollen. Last night I put genteal drops in it and today .They are just a moisturizer and I us it for my episcleritis flare ups in my right eye. what could this be and it came on quite suddenly . do you recommend polysporin eye drops or fucidin eye drops .

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sore and swollen eyes with a pimple under the eyelid.
This indicates inflammatory lesion of the gland of the eyelid in the form of hordeolum or stye.
The treatment of the condition is by use of antibiotic eye drops and oral anti-inflammatory drugs and hot compression..
You can use polysporin or fucidin eye drops as they are antibiotic eye drops and genteal eye drops are not effective as they are only artificial tears eye drops.
