What Causes Sore Blisters On The Tongue?

in januray it started to look like I had thrush on my tongue. I had to do that swish and swash stuff. that made it worse. I got like blister like things on my tongue and my mouth was slimmy because these things would pop. The blisters were my taste buds which I knew, but I was placed on a steroid. Well then the dr decided to put me on an antibiotic 10 days ago. My condition is this my mouth feels like glue at times or slime. it sore. whatever this has destroyed my teeth as pieces are missing and enamel is gone. It hurts to brush my teeth.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Well, the symptoms are not probably due to thrush rather it looks more like either Infection inside mouth or any unknown allergic reaction..

Slimy feeling can be due to inflammation inside mouth..
There is also a possibility that you might have a dry mouth that can cause inflammation, blisters, inflamed taste buds or Papillae and slimy feeling..

Teeth damage can also be due to dry mouth that can cause increased probability of Infection, dessicated or dehydration teeth due to lack of saliva flow..

So first of all it is advisable to consult an Oral Physician and get the exact cause ruled out..
An oral swab culture, blood test can be done for confirmation ..

As of now chew sugar free chewing gum, Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, take Vitamin B complex and lysine supplement, do warm saline gargle and take soft meals..

Hope this information helps..
Regards.
