What Causes Sore Breasts And Burning Nipples With Family History Of Breast Cancer?

For the past couple of days now my breast have been sore , they would hurt even with the slightest touch to them or movement . I was rubbing (softly) my breast just now and I noticed that my nipple began to burn . It still burns . My grandmas sister had breast cancer and my sister recently had a non cancerous tumor removed from her breast as well . Should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The sore breast and burning nipples are not part of cancer symptoms at all. There sounds possible issue of hypersensitivity condition in your case as there is family history of the breast cancer. Kindly get examined with your OBGYN for the primary check up of both breasts and get further guidelines accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
