What Causes Sore Breasts And Nausea While On Birth Control Pills?

So I took birth control this month and I’ve felt nausea the entire time. The 3rd week I started to get sore breasts and it’s now the placebo week and I feel nauseous and breasts are sore and it’s the 3rd placebo day and still no blood. Me and my boyfriend used a condom every single time. Why am I feeling like this?

Hi;

Pregnancy is possible, but very rare while on birth control pills. You must use a pregnancy test for differentiation. If it comes negative, there is no need for further evaluation for another 2-3 weeks, because initiation to birth pills may cause menstural alterations for first month. Tender breasts are also expected in this situation due to hormonal alterations.

If it persists for 3 or more weeks, you must see a gynecologist for dose adjustment.

Hope you recover soon
