What Causes Sore Bumps On Bottom Lip?

i am getting some little sore bumps on my bottom lip, i had one and now within an hr or so there are more, they are tender, also right below my lip where the first one is there is a red small bump that looks like a pimple but no head. a lady at work suggested it may be shingles starting is that possible

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concern..

Multiple sore bumps that have arrived over your lip within an hour can be due to Allergic reaction to some food item or anything else that have come to contact of your lip leading to reactionary bumps as a result of inflammation..

You need not to worry and can take Allegra or Benadryl that are anti allergics..
You can apply steroid ointment over the sores for relief..
Doing cold packs can also help..
You can apply Lignocaine gel over the sores for relief..
In case of pain OTC painkiller like ibuprofen can be taken..
Do not touch the sores with tongue or teeth..

In case if the sores does not improve in next 2 to 3 days you need to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated for viral infection (Herpes), or bacterial infection if you shared any lip product like chapstick or lipstick with anyone else..
