Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve always had this harmless bump on the inside of my buttcheecks but yesterday it starts to feel sore & it seemed like it grew so I looked at it in a mirror & it has grown. It hurts when I walk & I can feel it when I sit down. It formed a whitehead today so I popped it with some q-tips & some yellow stuff came out...didn t necessarily look like pus. I don t know why but I also decided to smell it. It smells like the stuff that comes out of your throat when you have tonsillitis. Help me.
The yellow stuff is discharge and indicates that an infection is present.
The lesion is likely an abscess which is a localized collection of pus. It is possible that it has formed in a cyst. The cyst would collect at intervals.
Treatment would involve the use of antibiotics prescribed by your doctor and incision and drainage of the abscess. Incision and drainage is an in office procedure.
I hope this helps
