What Causes Sore Inflamed Fingers And Stiff Toes That Do Not Bend?
I woke up yesterday with my middle finger sore/inflamed at the end from the joint to almost the nail. This is not an infected nail the nail and around the nail is fine. I have in the past had my ring finger on boths hands at the end joint become inflamed and sore with knots around the joint. I have a toe on both feet next to the big toe that has felt like it is calcified stiff and does not bend any longer and occasionally painful. I will be asking my Dr. in April. I would like to know if it could be gout and is there a test I can ask my dr. to run to find out if this is the case?

What Causes Sore Inflamed Fingers And Stiff Toes That Do Not Bend?
Hello, It could be due to arthritis-related changes probably due to rheumatoid arthritis. As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a rheumatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
