What Causes Sore Lump Under The Nipple?

My twenty eight year old son... who has been doing a very hard work out for about 3 weeks now was very sore across both of his pecs. He then played about 4 hard games of ping ball. He called me this morning and said he had discoverd a bump under his right nipple that was about the size of a quarter. He said it was sore when he pressed on it. I am a concerned Mom.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Welcome to HCM.
By the query data,You seem to have Gynecomastia with mastodynia.
This occurs due to the pubertal changes usually. But in your son's case who is 28 yrs old,the case is little late and hence needs to be worked for any hormonal abnormality of low testosterone levels.
I would suggest Second Opinion with Surgeon and its urgent treatment after investigating its cause.
This would help you to plan treatment with your doctor.
Hit thanks if convinced. Will appreciate Premium query for further enquiry.
