What Causes Sore Lumps In Armpits?

I frequently get sore lumps in my armpits. Typically they are soft in the middle with a firm outer edge. Sometimes they are almost worm-like masses under my skin. They often seem like really large pimples, but without whiteheads, however they do sometimes rupture and leak pus.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are some persons who have recurrent abscess formation in the armpits, in some it can be persistent, this is called hidradenitis suppurativa.

You may need the lesions incised properly from a doctor to allow for proper drainage, if only a small amount of pus comes out the remaining pus can recollect and cause another abscess.

Using anti septic soaps and antibiotics may also be needed.

I hope this helps
