What Causes Sore Muscles And Painful Hip When Diagnosed With Bursitis?

I have pain in both shoulders reaching down to the bicep area. Last weak went to doc for this. treated as bursitis with prednisone. felt great but now pills gone and pain is back . also having pain in low hip area. Very sore muscles in both areas. 53 years, male , very physical job. on meds for PAD. could these be symptoms or other factors from the PAD

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you should get yourself reviewed by a rheumatologist to rule out PMR. Steroid induced myopathy is rare side effect that also needs to be ruled out. PAD usually cause pain in extremeties like calf etc. Meanwhile OTC analgesic like acetaminophen may be helpful.
