What Causes Sore Neck Along With Running Nose And Irritated Throat?

I have several symptoms that concern me. I have congestion runny nose irritated throat (not really) and a sore neck. the sore neck could be from my job where I and lifting and moving a lot. but its just my neck down between my shoulder blades not my back. Yesterday I had a slight fever up to 101.1

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore neck along with running nose and irritated throat which seems to be due to viral infection or flu. It seems to be due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. You should do tepid sponging to lower down fever. I would suggest you to give paracetamol to child every 6 hrly to lower down fever. You should take proper course of antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with antiallergic medication Sinarest. Avoid intake of outside food and sharp and spicy food. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper examination. You should go for complete blood test examination. You should drink plenty of fluids. You should do warm saline gargles on daily basis.
