What Causes Sore Neck And Tender Joints While Treating An Ear Infection?

My daughter is taking some steroids that were prescribed for an ear infection starting last thursday. Since yesterday she has been experiencing some soreness and tonight her neck is very tender and down her back. She says she is also tender in her joints. She is 20 years old. do I need to take her to the ER?

Hello,

The tenderness on the neck and down to back is due to ear infection she is currently treating.

Tender joints could be related to antibiotics she has been prescribed for ear infection.

I think you should give her paracetamol first at home, keep her warm.

If still no improvement, and if she will have fever, should send to ER.
